It was not to be

There was a huge amount of interest and excitement as the Lions attempted to win their first series since 1997. All 84,000 + eyes were focused on what was going to be a close and challenging win for the Wallabies.

Excitement and confidence was pretty high all around and the incredible environment created by the Lions supporters was amazing. Sydney rugby fans are so passive, we have a lot to learn about generating atmosphere however I was happy to lose the singing contest.

Sadly, all we and the Wallabies did was look on. We looked on as the Lions absolutely smashed us despite being in a good position 10 minutes into the second half.

The Wallabies couldn't even get close though I had a fantastic night with Dad otherwise. Pre-match dinner and drinks with Dad, David Giffin, Dan Vickerman & Pat McCabe, banter with Lions fans, a decider in Sydney and opportunity to catch up with family and friends. It was 90% perfect!

Bring on 2025.
